First trip in 2014

Last weekend we took Jesse on a quick weekend trip to our friends farm in the Kettle Moraine of Wisconsin. We camped in Jesse. Here is an image from our first spring venture.

The past winter was brutally cold. The spring has also been challenging. The weekend temperatures were in the low 40's with 30 mph winds. Our friends throw a great tree planting party in honor of Earth Day every year. After a day in these conditions the Propex heater is very much appreciated. Sleeping is easier and it puts a smile on my wife's face...need I say more !

I made a few changes. The stock refrigerator is rather small and isn't very efficient. In the past we have carried an ice cooler. This meant we needed ice every three or four days.I wanted to have more cold storage and not have to depend on ice. There are several choices if you are only concerned with ac/dc electric refrigerators. However, when we are camping for lengths of time in remote areas, a propane refrigerator is ideal. So I purchased this Potra Gaz cooler which runs on either a/c, d/c , or propane !

We used the cooler on 120V and 12V last weekend, it worked great. I now need to be able to run this cooler from the propane tank mounted on the bus. Next job, add a "T" fitting to the tank so I do not have to haul a separate tank.

I have decided to remove an item...the WeatherTech deflectors. Several reasons...Though I had these fitted as snug as possible, I could not stop the drivers side from whistling. It was annoying. Also, they are directly in my line of sight looking left or right...and my wife hates them, enough said.

I was in the market for a new collapsible table to set up under our awning. Our old wood table has started to fall apart. In shopping for a new table I noticed all the replacements are aluminum. My wife really likes the old wood table. The weight and size of the new aluminum tables are very close to the old wood table. I decided to repair the old table.
